EMERGENCY PIPE REPLACEMENT WILL CLOSE A PORTION OF ROUTE 30 IN KING WILLIAM COUNTY ON THURSDAY, JULY 19
Traffic will be detoured onto V.F.W. Road in the Town of West Point
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – On Thursday, July 19, Virginia Department of Transportation crews will close a portion of Route 30 near V.F.W. Road in the Town of West Point for emergency pipe replacement.
Beginning at 6 a.m. crews will close a small portion of Route 30 to traffic to replace a failing 24-inch drainage pipe located near V.F.W. Road. All traffic on Route 30 will be detoured onto V.F.W. Road and back to Route 30 to avoid the work zone.
A pilot truck will guide traffic through the detour, alternating one lane at a time.
V.F.W. Road connects to Route 30 at two locations in the Town of West Point.
Motorists should be prepared for delays along Route 30 in the Town of West Point.
Work is expected to be complete and the detour lifted by 9 p.m.
