EXPECT DELAYS ON THE DOWNING BRIDGE NEXT WEEK
Traffic on Route 360 over the Rappahannock River will be reduced to a single lane on Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18

FREDERICKSBURG  Drivers need to anticipate delays at the Downing Bridge over the Rappahannock River at the Town of Tappahannock next week.

Route 360 will be reduced to a single lane on the bridge beginning at 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18.

Before the work zone begins, automated flagging stations will be placed near the center of the bridge and will control one-way traffic across the river, one direction at a time.

Message boards were placed near the bridge approaches earlier today to alert drivers to the upcoming work zone.

Crews will be taking measurements for future maintenance work.

The Downing Bridge is located between Warsaw in Richmond County and Tappahannock.
