All southbound lanes closed in vicinity of the Rappahannock River Bridge for police activity; I-95 southbound traffic is being detoured at Exit 133/Route 17 in Stafford County

FREDERICKSBURG – All lanes of Interstate 95 southbound are closed in the vicinity of the Rappahannock River Bridge between Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg for police activity.

I-95 southbound traffic is being detoured off the interstate at Exit 133/Route 17 in Stafford’s Falmouth area. Detoured motorists can take Route 17 Business to Route 1 southbound, where they can access Route 3 westbound and re-enter I-95 southbound at Exit 130/Route 3.

VDOT crews are traveling to the scene to assist with the detour route and traffic control.
