MARYUS ROAD TO CLOSE MARCH 26-30 IN GLOUCESTER COUNTY
Maryus Road will be closed between Ditch Bank Road and Jenkins Neck Road

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 649 (Maryus Road) in Gloucester County will be closed to through traffic on Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 to allow Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews to replace several drainage pipes underneath the road.

Maryus Road will be closed to through traffic between Ditch Bank Road and Jenkins Neck Road. VDOT crews are replacing two deteriorated concrete pipes underneath Maryus Road with a single, larger concrete pipe.

Motorists are encouraged to follow the posted detour route along Ditch Bank Road, which is approximately one mile.

Around 1,200 vehicles a day travel on Maryus Road, according to a 2016 VDOT traffic count.
