MERRY POINT, SUNNYBANK FERRY SERVICE SUSPENDING TODAY IN NORTHERN NECK
Ferry service will be suspended starting at 9 a.m. today to allow crews to secure the vessels ahead of heavy rain, high winds anticipated Thursday and Friday

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Two Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) ferries in the Northern Neck area will be taken out of service today starting at 9 a.m. allow crews to secure the vessels ahead of heavy rain and high winds anticipated on Thursday and Friday.

The Merry Point Ferry is located on Route 604 in Lancaster County and crosses the western end of the Corrotoman River. 

The Sunnybank Ferry crosses the Little Wicomico River on Route 644 in Northumberland County.
