RIGHT LANE ON WESTBOUND ROUTE 360 IN WARSAW CLOSED FOR SAFETY
Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane near Indian Field Road after crews discovered a pipe and slope failure, compromising the safety of the pavement
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has closed the right westbound lane on Route 360 (Richmond Road) near Route 697 (Indian Field Road) in Warsaw after crews discovered a pipe and slope failure, compromising the safety of the nearby travel lane.
Westbound traffic on Route 360 near Indian Field Road will be reduced to one lane until further notice.
VDOT engineers are on the scene to develop repair plans.
A re-opening date is not yet available as crews are still assessing the damage to the pipe and slope.
Message boards are posted to alert drivers to the emergency closure.
Approximately 8,400 vehicles a day travel Route 360 near Warsaw in Richmond County, according to a 2017 traffic count.
VDOT’s 14-county Fredericksburg District includes the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford in the Fredericksburg area; Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster and Westmoreland counties in the Northern Neck; Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews and Middlesex counties in the Middle Peninsula.
