ROUTE 17 SOUTHBOUND LANES NOW OPEN IN ESSEX COUNTY
Crews have completed emergency road repair

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 17 southbound traffic in Essex County is now traveling in the southbound lanes again after traffic was diverted overnight into the northbound lanes for an emergency road repair.

Crews have finished a repair of Route 17 southbound between Route 714 (Oneal Road) and Route 724 (St. Mathews Church Road). Flooding earlier this week had damaged the pavement in this area.
