ROUTE 608 (BROOKE ROAD) CLOSED IN STAFFORD COUNTY
Pipe failure has closed road near John Roberts Lane

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Brooke Road in Stafford County is closed to traffic near the intersection with John Roberts Lane due to a drainage pipe failure.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews will begin to repair the pipe on Monday, Aug. 13. An updated schedule to re-open Brooke Road at this location will be announced after crews have an opportunity to assess damage to the pipe.

Motorists should use the most convenient alternate route. Brooke Road is also closed between Deacon Road and Caroway Drive due to downed utility lines. Real-time information on road closures is available on 511Virginia.
