I-64 WEST CLOSED NEAR BUSCH GARDENS DUE TO CRASH
Road closure will begin by 2 p.m.

JAMES CITY COUNTY -- Motorists traveling on I-64 West this afternoon, Wednesday, February 13 should expect delays due to a tractor trailer crash near the Busch Gardens exit (mile marker 240). The crash occurred at 11:40 a.m. Currently one lane is closed. A complete road closure of I-64 West is scheduled for 2 p.m. at this location so that crews may remove the tractor trailer from the median area. Crews expect the closure to last between one to three hours, depending on the truck’s condition once moved.

A detour will be in place during the closure routing I-64 West traffic onto Route 199 (Exit 242A) towards Williamsburg; motorists would then continue on Route 199 until the Lightfoot exit (Exit 234).
