Sunday Southbound Lane Closures at James River Bridge Cancelled
Newport News—The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has cancelled plans to close all southbound lanes on the James River Bridge on Sunday, July 13 from 7 a.m. to noon. The cancellation is necessary to make modifications to the roofing contract. Crews were scheduled to lift materials onto the tower roof using a crane. The work will be re-scheduled at a later date.
