LEGISLATIVE BRIEFING HELD IN HAMPTON ROADS
Major Local Projects Discussed
HAMPTON ROADS – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) held a special legislative briefing today, Thursday, Nov. 4, covering current local transportation issues. The briefing was designed to engage local legislators in the planning process for several major projects of importance in the Hampton Roads region. Projects discussed included a significant upcoming maintenance project for the Interstate 264 Downtown Tunnel, an update on the Downtown Tunnel/Midtown Tunnel/ MLK Extension Public-Private Partnership (P3) project and a status report on other P3 projects for the Hampton Roads District.
