Plum Point Park Closes Temporarily
Five-week Closure Scheduled to Begin March 25

Portsmouth, VA — SKW Constructors (SKW), design-build contractor for the Elizabeth River Tunnels Project, will temporarily close Plum Point Park, which runs along the Elizabeth River Trail in Norfolk, from March 25 to May 1. The closure is necessary in order to safely install water and sewer lines in the vicinity.
Last month, crews rerouted a portion of the Elizabeth River Trail to Redgate Avenue, Stockley Gardens, Olney Road and Botetourt Street to keep pedestrians and bicyclists out of the path of construction, and to allow workers to safely perform their duties. That reroute is scheduled to remain in effect until fall 2016.
