VDOT TO HOST CITIZEN INFORMATION MEETING FOR I-64 WIDENING AND HIGH RISE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
CHESAPEAKE—The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a Citizen Information Meeting to update the public about the Environmental Assessment for the Interstate 64 Widening and High Rise Bridge Replacement Project. This assessment will study ways to address transportation capacity and roadway deficiencies within the corridor.
The meeting schedule is as follows:
When: Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Where: Deep Creek High School
2900 Margaret Booker Drive
At the open forum meeting, project experts will be on-site to answer questions about the study corridor which encompasses I-64 from the I-64/I-464 interchange to the I-64/I-264 interchange at Bowers Hill, and replacement of the existing High Rise Bridge over the southern branch of the Elizabeth River.
Citizens will have an opportunity to provide input at the meeting. Members of the public that cannot attend the meeting but wish to submit a comment can do so via mail or email through September 30, 2013 to:
