DESIGN PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON PROPOSED PLANS FOR ROUTE 671 (GENERAL THOMAS HIGHWAY) OVER NOTTOWAY RIVER BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
Public Hearing scheduled tomorrow in Southampton County

SUFFOLK — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a design public hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 17, to present proposed plans for the replacement of the bridge on Route 671 (General Thomas Highway) over Nottoway River.

WHEN:     Wednesday, February 17, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.  

WHERE:  Southampton County Office Center (Board Room)

The purpose of the meeting is to give citizens an opportunity to review the project exhibits on display, meet with VDOT representatives and provide input. This will be an open-house format meeting with no formal presentation. Media are invited to attend.

Citizens may provide oral and written comments at the hearing or submit them by February 29, 2016, to Diane Geouge, Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 1700 North Main Street, Suffolk, Virginia 23434 or via email to N.Geouge@VDOT.Virginia.gov.
