CALOHAN ROAD (RTE 685) TO BE CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC
Paving operations to take place beginning November 9
RUSTBURG – Motorists who use Calohan Road (Route 685) as a short cut between Routes 24 and 29 will need to seek another route beginning Sunday night, November 9.
Paving operations will close Calohan Road to thru traffic from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9 to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, weather permitting. As a result of the closure, there will be no access during these hours to Livestock Road (Route 674), the landfill and the associated dumpster site. Residents are asked not to use this transfer site between these hours. Deliveries to the livestock market will be allowed via of Greenhouse Road to the newly relocated Livestock Road.
Detours will be in place and message boards will alert motorists to this change in traffic pattern.
