CARTER GLASS BRIDGE TRAFFIC PATTERNS TO CHANGE
LYNCHBURG – Motorists who utilize the Carter Glass Bridge between Lynchburg and Madison Heights need to be alert to frequent changes in traffic pattern beginning as early as Wednesday, October 15.
There will be a 14.4-foot lane restriction on the northbound side of the bridge as Cleco, the prime contractor on the bridge project, installs deck joints. This work will result in temporary lane closures northbound across the length of the structure through November 7.
Message boards and other traffic control devices will alert motorists to this work.
Updates on this project and other real-time traffic information can be obtained by dialing 511 on any landline or wireless phone. (TTY/TDD users, call 711). Traffic alerts and traveler information also are available at www.511Virginia.org.
