VDOT’S HOSTS WINTER WEATHER PREPAREDNESS EVENT
What: The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host snow preparedness events across the state to discuss strategies for the upcoming winter season and the 10-county Lynchburg District’s snow budget. VDOT crews will be on hand to demonstrate snow removal equipment. In addition, there will be opportunities to take photos/videos of snowplows, salt spreaders, and a salt dome.
When: Monday, November 10, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.
Where: Appomattox Residency and Area Headquarters: 331 Ferguson Street, Appomattox, VA 24522
From Route 460 East or West, take Route 460 Business exit - Appomattox/Bent Creek. At light in front of McDonald’s, bear right on North Court Street. Ferguson Street is the first street on the right. The residency office and area headquarters are located on the right. Please park outside fence.
