LYNCHBURG DISTRICT EVENING ROAD CONDITIONS
Motorists urged to stay off roads

LYNCHBURG - Motorists are once again urged to stay off the roads if at all possible during the overnight and early morning hours of Monday.

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews have made great progress with the help of Mother Nature; however, the setting sun, dropping temperatures and increasing winds will quickly freeze the remaining snow and anything which has melted.

Monday morning icy roadways, including black ice, are likely in most locations.

Crews will continue their clean up efforts overnight concentrating on primary and major secondary routes.

For up-to-date road conditions, dial 511 or visit www.511Virginia.org.
