MOTORISTS FACE CONSTRUCTION ON RTE 29 NEAR AIRPORT
Lane closures and delays possible

LYNCHBURG – Motorists will encounter lane closures and possible delays beginning as early as Friday, April 3 on Route 29 near the Lynchburg Regional Airport and lasting until approximately April 17, weather permitting.

Crews with Burleigh Construction will close a portion of Route 29 North to reconstruct the curbing in the median at the Liberty Mountain Drive and Route 29 intersection. Following the completion of that work, crews with Marvin V. Templeton and Sons will begin paving in both the north- and southbound lanes of the Route 29. The paving operations are scheduled to last approximately one week, subject to change due to availability of materials and weather conditions.

Signs and other traffic control devices will be used to alert motorists to these operations and changes in traffic pattern.
