LYNCHBURG – Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are applying mixed abrasives to roadways in the higher terrain of northwest Nelson County this morning. Freezing drizzle/fog is creating some isolated icing conditions on the roadways in that area. 

Motorists are urged to use caution and drive appropriately for the conditions: slow down, avoid making quick turns, starts or stops and increase the distance between vehicles.
