ROUTE 646 TO BE CLOSED FOR BRIDGE WORK
Beginning August 1, motorists will encounter detour

LYNCHBURG—Motorists who use Route 646, Union Church Road in the Mt. Rush area of Buckingham County may encounter minor delays and a detour during their travel over the next couple of months while the bridge over Frisby Creek is rebuilt.

Beginning Monday, August 1, Route 646 will be closed to through traffic between Route 60, James Anderson Highway and Route 691, Miller Camp Road.  The closure will be in place for approximately 60 days.

The recommended signed detour route during construction is via routes 60, 24, and 691.  

Signs and other traffic control devices will be used to alert motorists to the work.
