ROUTE 650 BRIDGE OVER PEDLAR RIVER TO BE REPAIRED
Temporary road closures planned during project slated for summer months

LYNCHBURG—Starting in early-July, motorists will face a temporary road closure and signed detour due to maintenance on the Route 650 (East Perch Road) Bridge over Pedlar River in Amherst County.

The road, which has an annual average daily traffic volume of 54 (2007 count), will be closed at the bridge following the planned contract execution in July 2011. The work is scheduled to be complete by September 2, 2011.

During the closure motorists will use the following signed detour: Route 650 to Route 130 and back to Route 650.  The detour is approximately thirteen (13) miles in length.

Additional information about the closure will be provided as updates are received.  Questions or comments about this project may be directed to Mr. Todd Bolling, P.E. in the Construction Section at 434-947-6559.
