LYNCHBURG – An incident involving a tractor trailer hauling wood has blocked US 60 in both directions near Route 631, Mount Pleasant Road, in Amherst County.

Emergency response crews, including Virginia State Police and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are on the scene.  

The road is closed during the clean up effort and there is no detour in place.  Motorists should seek alternate routes.
