Update: Crossing work in Prince Edward County to create delays

Work on the Route 800 (Hook Road) railroad crossing in Prince Edward County has been postponed.  Norfolk-Southern Railroad had previously scheduled the work for January 25 and 26.

The Route 800 maintenance will be rescheduled.  When it is conducted, the crossing will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and motorists will need to use alternate routes.  This work is subject to change due to weather conditions, availability of equipment and manpower and other conditions.

Work on the Route 670 (Spring Creek Road) crossing was completed earlier this week.

For up-to-date information on closures, call 511 or visit www.511Virginia.org.
