KNOW ROAD CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU GO TODAY!
Possible sleet, freezing rain, rain and/or snow possible

LYNCHBURG-Motorists need to be alert today to the possibility of a wide variety of weather conditions, particularly during the early morning hours.  Sleet, freezing rain, rain and snow at all in the forecast for the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Lynchburg District. 

Motorists should check VDOT’s 511 travel website, www.511virginia.org, before leaving home/work for real-time information on traffic and road conditions. Travelers may also call 511 from any telephone in Virginia.   

To report downed trees or hazardous road conditions, call VDOT’s Customer Service Center at 800-367-7623 (800-FOR-ROAD). 

The Lynchburg District includes the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward.
