BRIDGE WORK TO DELAY MOTORISTS ON CANDLERS MTN ROAD
Work to take place on older structure over railroad
LYNCHBURG – Motorists should expect delays while crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) address several maintenance issues on the older Candlers Mountain Road bridge over the railroad near River Ridge Mall.
The work, to include pothole repairs, will begin tomorrow (Thursday, July 31) and continue the following day (Friday, August 1). One lane of the bridge will be open at all times during this work. Work zones will be in place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
