ROUTE 671 IN BUCKINGHAM COUNTY CLOSED TEMPORARILY FOR STRUCTURE REPLACEMENT

LYNCHBURG – The Route 671 (Penlan Road) in Buckingham County will be closed temporarily beginning Monday, July 7, 2014 for the replacement of the bridge over Hunts Creek.

Advance Notice signs are being erected to alert motorists to this upcoming activity. In addition, during operations, warning signs and other traffic control devices will be in place.

Signage will also be in place for a detour using Route 15 (James Madison Highway) to Route 610 (Slate Hill Road) to Route 676 (Ridge Road) and back to Route 671.

The road is expected to reopen by September 19, 2014, weather permitting.
