CORRECTION: VDOT TO HOLD HEARING ON ROUTE 626 PROJECT IN HALIFAX COUNTY
LYNCHBURG — On Thursday, August 9, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a location and design public hearing to discuss a $1.7-million improvement project on Route 626 in Halifax County. The inclement weather date is Tuesday, August 14.
The hearing will be held at the Triangle Fire Department located at 1051 Mortons Ferry Road, in Nathalie, Halifax County VA.
The purpose of the project is to improve safety and drainage on Route 626. During construction, flaggers will assist motorists.
The location and design public hearing is being held to provide an opportunity for citizens or organizations to give input on the project and will be held in an “open-house” format. VDOT representatives will be present to discuss the project and answer questions.
Comments about the project may be submitted at the hearing or until August 19, 2018, (August 24, inclement weather) by mail to Ms. Raina Rosado, P.E., Virginia Department of Transportation, 4219 Campbell Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
