ODD FELLOWS ROAD BRIDGE OVER RAILROAD TO CLOSE
Replacement of structure will take approximately one year
LYNCHBURG – Motorists who use Odd Fellows Road from the US 29 Business Lynchburg Expressway to access the Main Post Office, Division of Motor Vehicles or other businesses/organizations in the immediate area will need to use alternate routes beginning Monday, October 8. The bridge on Odd Fellows Road over the railroad will be closed for approximately one year beginning that date for replacement.
The replacement is part of the Odd Fellows Road, Phase B2 improvements, which also include a roundabout at Odd Fellows and Albert Lankford Drive/Murray Place.
Alternate routes include the new Odd Fellows Road Interchange and Extension from US 29/460, as well as Albert Lankford Drive to Carroll Avenue and Mayflower Drive.
Currently, utility relocation, grading and other work is taking place on the $8.7 million project being done by W. C. English, Inc.
