Overnight Ramp Closures in Arlington This Week for I-66 Eastbound Widening Project
Ramps from I-66 East to Westmoreland St. and from Sycamore St. to I-66 East to close Thursday and Friday nights

FAIRFAX – Ramp closures are scheduled to occur this week in Arlington for paving as part of the I-66 Eastbound Widening Project. The ramp from I-66 East to Exit 68 (Westmoreland Street) and the on-ramp from Sycamore Street to I-66 East will close during the overnight hours of Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday, October 19, has been scheduled as a back-up night if needed. All lanes will be open by 5 a.m.

Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16
Back-up scheduled for Monday, October 19
Ramp from I-66 East to Exit 68, Westmoreland Street
The ramp will be closed each night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be directed farther east on I-66 to Exit 69, Washington Boulevard/Lee Highway (Route 29). Traffic will turn right on Lee Highway toward Falls Church, turn right on West Jefferson Street, turn right on Little Falls Street, turn left on Fairfax Drive, and then turn right on North Westmoreland Street.

Back-up scheduled for Monday, October 19
Ramp from Sycamore Street to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed each night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be directed farther north to Washington Boulevard, make a right to travel east about two miles to North Glebe Road (Route 120), make a left at the traffic signal and follow signs to I-66 East.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
