Overnight Ramp Closures Planned at Nutley Street and Route 28 Interchanges Next Week for Transform 66 Outside The Beltway Project
Closures planned at Nutley Street and Route 28 Interchanges
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours next week at I-66 interchanges with Nutley Street and Route 28 so that crews can perform various construction activities for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Monday, July 13, and Tuesday, July 14
Ramp from Nutley Street South to I-66 West
- The ramp from southbound Nutley Street to westbound I-66 will be closed Monday night, July 13, and Tuesday night, July 14, from midnight to 4 a.m. for crews to implement lane shifts on Nutley Street. Traffic will be directed further south on Nutley Street, stay to the left to make a U-turn at the signal at Saintsbury Drive, then continue north to the ramp to I-66 West.
Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16
Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 West
- The ramp from southbound Route 28 to westbound I-66 will be closed Wednesday night, July 15, and Thursday night, July 16, from midnight to 4 a.m. for crews to implement lane shifts on Route 28 South. Traffic will be directed to continue farther south to Route 29 South, follow signs to I-66 West and make a left at the traffic signal to access I-66 West.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
