TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Daytime Lane Closures on Beltway This Sunday
Two lanes will be closed on the Capital Beltway between the Dulles Toll Road and Route 123 on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The lane closures will only be in the areas of the six bridges crossing the Beltway to allow a mobile VDOT bridge crew to take deck samples.
Work will begin on the Beltway Inner Loop, I-495 North, from Route 123 to the Dulles Toll Road. When the Inner Loop work is complete the mobile bridge crew will turn around and complete work on the Beltway Outer Loop, I-495 South, from the Dulles Toll Road back to Route 123.
State Police will be in the work areas for motorist safety. Lanes will re-open before 2 p.m. should work be completed ahead of schedule.
