EXPECT DELAYS AT ROUTE 28 AND WELLINGTON ROAD
One lane will be closed up to three weeks

MANASSAS – Motorists should expect delays on northbound Route 28 (Nokesville Road) at Wellington Road in Manassas beginning Jan. 5 as one lane will be closed for up to three weeks, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.  One of two lanes will be closed between Technology Drive and Cockrell Road.

Motorists can use Godwin Drive to avoid delays.  The closure is part of the construction project to build a bridge over Wellington Road to eliminate the at-grade railroad crossing.

The entire $44 million project will be complete in Nov. 2012.  More information on the project is available here.
