Join VDOT Oct. 1 at Francis Hammond Middle School
ALEXANDRIA -- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host a public information meeting on a project to construct a High Occupancy Vehicle ramp at Seminary Road in Alexandria. The ramp will provide improved access for HOV and transit users working at or near the Mark Center site. The Commonwealth has allocated $80 million for this project.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the auditorium at Francis Hammond Middle School, 4646 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA 22304.
Citizens are invited to attend to learn about the design and construction schedule, as well as a proposal for a sound wall barrier.
The meeting will begin with a project presentation, followed by an open question and answer session. Display boards showing project designs will be set up around the meeting room and staffed by knowledgeable project team members.
Citizens wishing to comment may do so verbally through a court reporter or in written form on comment cards at the meeting or online at email@example.com. Please include “Seminary Road HOV” in the subject line.
Anyone requiring special assistance to attend and participate in this hearing may contact VDOT’s Civil Rights Office at 800-367-7623 or TTY/TDD 711.
