VDOT SEEKS INPUT ON ROUTE 7 WIDENING
Info meeting Nov. 6 at Colvin Run Elementary School
FAIRFAX— The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public information meeting next Wednesday, Nov. 6, on plans to improve almost seven miles of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west of the Dulles Toll Road.
The public can stop by between 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Colvin Run Elementary School, 1400 Trap Road in Vienna, where VDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
Stop by to learn about:
- Ongoing plans to widen Route 7 from four to six lanes between Reston Avenue and Jarrett Valley Drive, improve intersections and build shared-use path
- Key findings from VDOT’s travel demand study investigating the use of potential express lanes on Route 7 (free for transit and HOV users)
- Key findings from VDOT’s research study that included surveys and interviews with local residents and Route 7 commuters
