NIGHT WORK ON WESTBOUND I-66 FOR SOUND WALL

FAIRFAX—Beginning Friday, May 9, and for the next four weeks, one to two lanes on westbound I-66 will be closed just west of Washington Boulevard on week nights from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

The closures are needed for crews to construct a 1,600-foot-long sound wall. The work is part of the I-66 Spot 2 Improvement Project that will connect the Washington Boulevard on-ramp to the Dulles Access Road off-ramp creating a one-mile stretch of auxiliary lane to improve operations and safety on westbound I-66.
