VDOT TO HOST “PARDON OUR DUST” MEETING FOR ROUTE 50 TRAFFIC CALMING IN MIDDLEBURG
Public invited to learn about the project October 7 at Middleburg Community Center
MIDDLEBURG—The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host a “pardon our dust” meeting on a project to implement traffic calming, pedestrian and safety improvements along Route 50 (Washington Street) in the Town of Middleburg. Meet the project team to learn more about the construction schedule and traffic impacts.
The public can stop by between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7 at the Middleburg Community Center, 300 West Washington Street, Middleburg, VA 20117. A formal presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m.
VDOT begins construction in mid-October 2015 to replace and upgrade over 2,000 feet of water main. Additionally, the project will include new pedestrian lighting.
The cost estimate for the project is $4.8 million. A&M Concrete Corporation is the contractor. The project is expected to complete in November 2016.
