Give Input on Route 7 and Battlefield Parkway Interchange
Design Public Hearing is March 7 at John W. Tolbert Jr. Elementary School
LEESBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a design public hearing Wednesday, March 7 on plans to replace the traffic signal at Route 7 (East Market Street) and Battlefield Parkway with an interchange to reduce congestion and improve traffic operations.
The project also includes:
- Removing the traffic signal at Route 7 and Cardinal Park Drive and modifying the intersection
- Accommodations for cyclists and pedestrians
- New interchange lighting
Preliminary engineering, right of way acquisition, utility relocation and part of construction have been funded by the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.
The public is invited to stop by between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at John W. Tolbert Jr. Elementary School, 691 Potomac Station Drive, Leesburg, VA 20176 to view displays and learn more about the project. VDOT staff will be available to answer questions.
