I-66 Rosslyn Bridge Lane Closures Tonight and Monday
Temporary concrete barrier placement for bridge deck work

ROSSLYN – Right lane closures will occur (weather permitting) tonight and Monday night, Sept. 10 along the I-66 bridge over the ramps from northbound Route 110 to westbound I-66 and from the southbound George Washington Memorial Parkway to eastbound I-66/westbound Route 50 in order to install temporary concrete barriers for bridge deck work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The lane closures will occur as follows:

  • Between 10 p.m. tonight and 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7: Westbound I-66 lane right lane will close to install barriers along the right shoulder; following barrier installation, the westbound lanes will temporarily shift to the left towards the median
  • Between 9:30 p.m. Monday night, Sept. 10 and 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11: Eastbound I-66 right lane will be closed to install barriers along the right shoulder; following barrier installation, the eastbound lanes will be slightly narrowed temporarily

Drivers should expect delays during the lane closures/traffic shifts and are advised to use alternate routes. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction following placement of the barriers.

The work is part of the I-66 over Route 110 and George Washington Memorial Parkway ramps project, which is scheduled for completion in summer 2019.
