FAIR LAKES ─Beginning Sunday night, May 19, crews will start final milling and surface paving at the Fairfax County Parkway/Fair Lakes Parkway interchange project. Drivers can expect single-lane closures and detours onto Fair Lakes Circle from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday nights. </description>

ARLINGTON─On Sunday, May 5, the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge will shut down from 8:20 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the filming of a movie on the bridge which is owned and operated by the District of Columbia. Drivers accessing the bridge from Virginia via I-66, Route 50 or the George Washington Parkway will be detoured. </description>

SPRINGFIELD─ Drivers can expect one of two eastbound lanes to be closed from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday (April 30-May 1) on Old Keene Mill Road between Field Master Drive and Hillside Road. Work on the Old Keene Mill Road bridge over Pohick Creek is being extended until 6 p.m. both days to allow time for surface concrete to cure before re-opening to traffic. </description>

LEESBURG─ Two of three eastbound lanes on Route 7 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday to Tuesday (April 25-30), as Loudoun County removes the old Goose Creek Bridge adjoining eastbound Route 7 between Belmont Ridge Road and River Creek Parkway. Crews will set up a 350-ton crane to lift the bridge steel and then haul it on trucks. </description>

Dunn Loring, Va.─A section of Oak Street, in the Dunn Loring area of Fairfax County, is going on a “road diet,” losing two of its four thru lanes to reduce excessive speeding and make the road safer for motorists and bicyclists alike. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will re-mark the pavement on or about April 15 as part of a previously planned paving project. </description>
