TRANSPORTATION COMMISSIONER APPROVES A CONTRACT FOR PAVEMENT MARKING IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA
RICHMOND—Virginia Department of Transportation Commissioner David Ekern approved a contract this week for pavement marking in the Richmond metro area.
NES Traffic Safety, L.P. of Richmond, Virginia was awarded a contract valued at $435,000 to install pavement markings on interstate, primary and secondary roads in Henrico, Charles City, New Kent, Goochland, Hanover and Caroline counties. Lane closures will used during non-peak hours to reduce the impact to travelers. The pavement marking is expected to be complete in October 2007.
