TRANSPORTATION COMMISSIONER APPROVES ONE CENTRAL VIRGINIA CONTRACT VALUED AT $1 MILLION
RICHMOND— Virginia Department of Transportation Commissioner David Ekern approved one contract last week valued at approximately $1 million for central Virginia bridge maintenance.
Klicos Painting Co., Inc. of Baltimore, Maryland, was awarded a contract for $1 million to extend the service life of several structures in the Richmond District by cleaning and re-coating the existing structural steel beams. Each structure will be recoated and will have its deck joint seals cleaned and resealed. This project is expected to be complete by June 2008.
