I-95 North/South in Ashland to be Closed Tomorrow Morning
Dominion Virginia Power to repair overhead power lines
I-95 north/south (Hanover) – I-95 north/south will be closed just north of the Atlee/Elmont intersection (Exit 86) Wed., Oct. 29 from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. (rain date Sun., Nov. 2 at the same time). Dominion Virginia Power will be repairing overhead power lines, which run across I-95. The detour routes are as follows:
I-95 South- Take Lewistown Road west (Exit 89) to Rt. 1 south/Washington Highway to Sliding Hill Rd. and back onto I-95 south.
I-95 North- Take Atlee/Elmont (Exit 86) to Sliding Hill Road west to Rt. 1 north/Washington Highway to Lewistown Road and back onto I-95 north.
I-95 motorists can expect delays of up to 30 minutes while traveling through this area.
