TRANSPORTATION COMMISSIONER APPROVES TWO CENTRAL VIRGINIA CONTRACTS VALUED AT $546,000
RICHMOND— Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Commissioner David Ekern approved two contracts Monday valued at approximately $546,000 for central Virginia construction and maintenance.
Colony Construction, Inc. of Powhatan, Virginia was awarded a $392,000 contract to mill and provide asphalt overlay to bridge approaches in Amelia County. In addition, they will overlay several road sections in Nottoway and Lunenburg counties with asphalt. Expected completion is Aug. 2008.
Remac, Inc. of Gasburg, Virginia was awarded a $154,000 contract to seal pavement cracks along primary routes in Hanover, Chesterfield, Brunswick, Prince George and Dinwiddie counties. Expected completion is Dec. 2008.
