TRANSPORTATION BOARD APPROVES ONE CENTRAL VIRGINIA CONTRACT VALUED AT $4.4 MILLION
COLONIAL HEIGHTS—The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) approved one contract last week valued at approximately $4.4 million for central Virginia construction and maintenance.
A & M Concrete Corporation of Falls Church was awarded a contract to repair two bridges on Route 360 (Patrick Henry Highway) in Nottoway County, less than one mile west of the Burkeville city limits. Rehabilitation will not only extend the life of the structures, but it will also result in greater safety for drivers. Construction will involve temporary lane closures and traffic shifts. Completion is anticipated by September 2011.
