ROUTE 360/BELL CREEK ROAD RELOCATION PROJECT COMPLETE IN HANOVER
New traffic alignment accommodates higher traffic volume and minimizes congestion
HANOVER – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has completed a project to relocate the southern portion of Bell Creek Road at Mechanicsville Turnpike (Route 360) to the east to align it with the northern portion. Crews also widened Route 360 between I-295 and Bell Creek Road from three to four lanes. Finally, a continuous through/right turn lane was added in both directions between Bell Creek Road and Wynbrook Lane.
The relocation project began in spring 2015 and now accommodates a higher volume of traffic and provides congestion relief.
