CEDAR LEVEL ROAD PROJECT BEGINS IN HOPEWELL
Project will widen road and improve safety
South Chesterfield, Va. — A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) project began this week to widen Cedar Level Road between Cobblestone Parkway and Miles Ave. in the City of Hopewell.
With an estimated total cost of $11 million, the project will widen the road from two to three lanes with the addition of turn lanes, bike lanes and sidewalk. In addition, the project will realign the road to reduce an “S” curve.
Travelers can expect intermittent lane and shoulder closures for the duration of the project. Work will include both daytime and nighttime lane closures during off-peak travel times.
The work is expected to be complete in spring 2020. For more information about the project, visit: http://www.virginiadot.org/projects/richmond/cedar_level_road_improvements_in_hopewell.asp
