VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC MEETING ON ROUTE 5 TURN LANE PROJECT IN HENRICO COUNTY
Public invited to learn more about the proposed project on May 15

SOUTH CHESTERFIELD —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public meeting on a turn lane construction project on New Market Road (Route 5) in Henrico County. The proposed project will add left turn lanes on east and westbound Route 5 at Buffin Road and a right turn lane on northbound Buffin Road to eastbound Route 5.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Varina Elementary School, located at 2551 New Market Rd., Henrico, VA 23231. This meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.

Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the meeting or until May 25 by mailing them to Adam Brooks, project manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, South Chesterfield, VA 23834-9002. Comments can also be emailed to adam.brooks@VDOT.Virginia.gov. Please reference “New Market Rd./Rt. 5 turn lanes comments” in the subject line.
