VDOT TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AT SPRINGFIELD ROAD AND FRANCISTOWN ROAD IN HENRICO
Public invited to learn more about the proposed intersection improvements on July 11

Proposed roundabout at Springfield Rd. and Francistown Rd. in Henrico

COLONIAL HEIGHTS —The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a public hearing on an improvements project proposed for the intersection at Springfield Road and Francistown Road in Henrico County. Proposed improvements include replacing the signalized intersection with a single-lane roundabout, which will improve both safety and operation within the project limits.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hungary Creek Middle School, located at 4909 Francistown Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. This meeting will provide an opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give VDOT input on the project.

Comments about the proposed project may be submitted at the meeting or until July 21 by mailing them to Phillip Frazer, project manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834-9002. Comments can also be emailed to phillip.frazer@vdot.virginia.gov. Please reference “Proposed Springfield Rd. roundabout in Henrico” in the subject line.
