INTERSTATE 73 FEIS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING
Public can view online at www.I73info.com, and at libraries and VDOT offices

SALEM -- The Virginia Department of Transportation has distributed copies of the Interstate 73 Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) to libraries in Henry, Franklin and Roanoke counties along the proposed route for the new interstate. Additionally, copies are available for the public to view at VDOT Residency offices located in Martinsville, Rocky Mount and Salem as well as the Salem District complex also located in Salem.

The public can download the entire document from the I-73 Web site at http://www.i73info.com.

The Federal Highway Administration currently is reviewing the FEIS and could issue a Record of Decision in early 2007.
